Job Description: Provide systems administrator functions to all systems where program/s have an interest, to include cloud-based systems. Maintain inventory control over all material assets for the servers to include but not limited to license keys, server hardware, and other software installed on the production servers, test servers, and development servers. Monitor server performance and system performance to optimize use of the existing hardware and virtual machines. Configure system hardware and software to comply with current DoD, Navy, and local command policies. Set and administer servers, server storage space allotments, resource reservations, and directory assistance. Maintain user administration and access control of the servers, applications, and the virtual machines per local command and Navy policy. Manage and administer all e-mail messaging systems and their corresponding or associated software and hardware. Administer servers running on all OS Platforms. Add, remove, certify, and move new or existing end-user accounts and administer permissions and access rights. Administer messaging systems access and support efforts for remote users. Create private and public mailing databases, folders, and lists, calendaring services, address books, and shared mail applications. Monitor and analyze e-mail system activities to ensure maximum performance, efficiency, and availability. Monitor and test e-mail server software performance and provide statistics and reports. Analyze e-mail system or application usage and plan for growth or increases in network capacity. Administer and maintain databases, antivirus management, and error log tracking. Identify and resolve problems affecting applications, messaging systems performance, efficiency, and availability in a timely manner. Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements, upgrades, and/or purchases. The contractor shall maintain and troubleshoot mail routing and replication. Perform bi-weekly maintenance to include patches, upgrades, and other necessary tasks on identified enclaves in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) in order to minimize disruption of the systems for users. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly backups of the virtual machines on identified enclaves in accordance with SOPs. Interface with necessary network owners to identify and solve any network issues which may occur with the systems. Track, manage, and maintain ports, protocols, and services to include managing any necessary port exceptions to ensure operations. Develop, execute, and manage disaster recovery plan to meet the requirement of responding to any failures within twenty-four hours and providing at least partial resumption of mission or business essential functions as identified in the disaster recovery plan. Provide systems administrative services to support HBSS, PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and other SMEs to comply with cyber safe, DevSecOps, C2C24, and other operational compliance initiatives. |
Qualifications: Five (5) years of experience providing Tiers I, II, and III Lotus Domino Systems Administrator services across an enterprise hardware and or software platform. One (1) year of formal education may be substituted for two (2) years of this relevant experience. Five (5) years of demonstrated experience working with Windows Server; MS Office, Symantec Endpoint, and other third-party tools. Demonstrated experience supporting Information Assurance (IA) security procedures, which may include scanning and mitigating actions. Experience working with TeamStudio, Tomcat, JIRA, or similar software (SourceSafe, CVS, etc.). Demonstrated experience in software testing.
