The Manager, Supply Chain in the BioServices and Specialty Logistics business unit of Thermo Fisher Scientific coordinates US operations, including demand planning, supply planning, and distribution requirements planning. They lead the SIOP process to link Sales, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain forecasts to improve customer service at an efficient cost.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the demand planning and supply planning processes to ensure all service level and financial metrics are achieved.
Develop standard methodologies for Material/Inventory Management, Warehouse Management (Cycle Count Accuracy, Transactions, Bar Coding, RFID), and Replenishment Methods.Handle production scheduling and capacity planning.
Run the sales inventory and operations plan (SIOP) processes and facilitate periodic evaluations to ensure alignment with critical business metrics.
Work closely with teams across functions (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance) to develop and carry out plans that meet annual operating plan goals.
Coach and mentor Supply Chain teams to improve engagement with operations and commercial teams and to establish better communication channels between the cross-functional teams.
Coordinate and prioritize work assignments to ensure timely and high-quality task completion.
Define resource needs and work within budget and staffing parameters to accomplish objectives for the area of responsibility.
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Education/ Experience:
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, logistics, engineering, and/or related field or business subject area with a focus on Supply Chain/Sourcing required, or 8 equivalent years of experience.
Proven track record in Operations, Supply Chain and Continuous Improvement with strong performance results.
Extensive understanding of relevant Supply Chain standard methodologies, multi-step strategic sourcing.
Basic knowledge of P&L, and Balance Sheet.
Hands-on experience using and specifying planning, DRP, inventory controls, replenishment, and warehouse management in ERP and best-of-breed software solutions.
Solid understanding of warehouse management solutions.
Experience with project management concepts, needs assessment, and cost modeling.
Broad Knowledge of global business practices.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $103,100.00β$165,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
