Senior Finance Business Analyst | Financial Planning Reporting
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 6 months
Pay: $1000 - $1100 pay rate
Location: Everyleigh + WFH
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and capture current processes in financial budgeting and planning and any capability gaps. Guide opportunities to improve these processes and prepare a robust, well-structured and prioritised set of requirements for current state and prepare a roadmap for future development of financial planning and budgeting capability.
Responsibilities

Work closely with stakeholders to identify, document, and prioritise business requirements.

Conduct in-depth analysis of existing processes, systems, and data to identify improvement opportunities and challenges.

Develop comprehensive documentation, including business process flows, use cases, and user stories.

Facilitate workshops, meetings, and interviews to gather insights and foster collaboration.

Perform impact assessments and risk analysis to mitigate potential roadblocks.
Skills Required
- Effective stakeholder engagement - deal with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation right up to the CEO
- Critical thinking - understand and analyse problems and find solutions
- Problem-solving - think creatively and work collaboratively with teams to solve business challenges
- Decision making - make decisions around things such as requirement prioritisation, scope, assessing viability of solutions etc.
- Good listener & communicator - Requirements gathering is a key part of the role so the ability to ask the right questions and correctly understand the information received is essential
- Documentation and writing skills - preparation of documents such as use cases and business requirement documents
- Confident presenter - present findings and recommendations to senior leaders and to manage stakeholder meetings
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Professional certification (CPA/CA) complete
- Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting or finance roles including budget and forecast preparation and reporting
- Experience in government desirable
