GovFirst is seeking an experienced recruiter who speaks Spanish to deliver full-cycle recruitment and placement solutions to join our client's team in San Antonio, TX.

In this role, you will assist with the recruitment and hiring of both benefits-eligible and non-benefits eligible staff, ensuring the selection of top talent while maintaining a high standard of compliance, integrity, and efficiency throughout the hiring process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Job Profile & Recruitment Strategy:
    • Create detailed job descriptions and position profiles based on the client’s needs and organizational structure.
    • Develop an advertising and outreach strategy that targets top-tier talent. The strategy may include local, regional, state, and national efforts as needed.
    • Conduct targeted outreach to potential candidates and professional networks to actively promote the open positions.

  2. Candidate Sourcing & Outreach:
    • Source candidates through multiple channels, including direct outreach, professional networks, job boards, and recruitment campaigns.
    • Contact potential candidates directly to encourage application submissions and referrals from industry networks.
    • Accept and manage all incoming applications using the designated recruitment management system (NeoGov Insight).

  3. Application Management & Screening:
    • Review candidate applications and resumes to assess qualifications, ensuring they meet the minimum requirements for each position.
    • Conduct initial screening interviews (via phone, video, or in-person) to evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and overall suitability for the role.
    • Perform background checks, education verification, reference checks, and other screening measures to ensure candidates meet the highest standards of integrity and reliability.

  4. Interview Coordination & Scheduling:
    • Work with the client’s HR team and hiring managers to schedule interviews, including logistics for in-person or virtual interviews.
    • Prepare interview materials, including a list of interview questions and interview guidelines, in coordination with the hiring team.
    • Ensure diversity and inclusion goals are considered in the selection process by coordinating diverse interview panels and facilitating community outreach.

  5. Assessments & Evaluation:
    • Administer skills assessments (either in-person or online) as part of the evaluation process for candidates.
    • Score assessments and provide recommendations based on the results, as well as input from the interview panel and hiring team.

  6. Candidate Selection & Offer Process:
    • Support the hiring process by identifying the best-fit candidates for the roles, preparing candidate recommendations, and coordinating the interview and selection process.
    • Facilitate the post-interview background screening, including criminal background checks, drug screenings, and education verification.
    • Assist with extending job offers and obtaining necessary approvals from leadership, HR, and senior stakeholders before making an official offer.
    • Ensure clear communication with candidates regarding job offers, salary negotiations, and start date arrangements.

  7. Compliance & Documentation:
    • Maintain thorough records of all candidate interactions, interview feedback, and decisions in accordance with company policies and compliance standards.
    • Ensure recruitment activities align with all applicable local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.

  8. Exclusions:
    • Recruitment services do not apply to internal candidates or candidates referred by current or former employees of the client.
    • Rehires are not eligible for consideration through this service.

  9. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Partner with hiring managers and relevant stakeholders to gain a thorough understanding of the roles, expectations, and hiring needs for vacant positions.
    • Obtain the necessary approvals from leadership to initiate the recruitment process for each position.


Requirements

  • Work Authorization Required: U.S. Citizen
  • Experience: A proven track record in providing end-to-end recruitment and placement services, ideally for organizations with a similar size and structure.
  • Systems Proficiency: Familiarity with recruitment management systems such as NeoGov Insight, including assisting candidates through the application and onboarding processes.
  • Screening & Evaluation: Strong background in candidate screening, background checks, and ensuring compliance with hiring protocols.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders and engaging candidates.
  • Interviewing Expertise: Experience in designing interview processes, conducting interviews, and coordinating feedback.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Understanding of and experience with diversity recruitment strategies, ensuring a fair and inclusive hiring process.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail in managing complex recruitment processes, assessments, and background screening.
  • Compliance: Knowledge of employment law, regulations, and best practices regarding recruitment and hiring.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate with Spanish speakers.
