Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Recruiter and Community Outreach Specialist - Boca Raton, FL.
The Recruiter and Community Outreach Specialist will collaborate with the Office of Students Services, Deans, Directors, and Coordinators to develop key strategies for attracting and converting prospective students to meet admissions goals.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Communicate with a large number of prospective students through phone, email, and in-person outreach.
Involved in the planning of prospective student recruitment activities, outreach, and travel to schools, community partners, and community events to promote the college.
Provide information to prospective students and faculty about the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing pertaining to financial aid, housing, university policies, and important deadlines.
Meets one-on-one prospective students to provide information and assist or route to the appropriate advisor in the application process; gives campus tours.
Researches, plans, and executes fall, summer, and spring travel for recruitment by evaluating previous years' productivity; meets with prospective students at educational fairs/clinical sites to inform them about the college.
Remain current on new campus offerings, policies, and procedures, communicating those effectively to inquiring applicants. Establish and maintain ongoing communications with prospects and other referral sources, including follow-up emails and phone calls.
Cultivate relationships with alumni, advisors, and other constituents to assist with the recruitment process and other duties as assigned.
Research trends and best practices for recruitment and make decisions as to the best marketing strategies to pursue to achieve the specified goals of the college.
Continuously improve presentations and innovative recruitment and retention strategies for more effective recruitment.
Arrange meetings at organizations and clinical sites, recruitment fairs, health fairs, and community events throughout the target areas to recruit faculty and students.
Maintain accurate data on how applicants are progressing through the recruitment cycle as well as overall reporting trends on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
Build and maintain good relations with educational institutions.
Assist with the preparation of student recruitment materials and preparation of swag bags.
Assist with faculty recruitment.
Assist with other duties as assigned and Dean's Suite tasks as assigned.
