About the role

As a Principal Account Manager at CollegeVine, you will play a pivotal role in fostering and expanding our relationships with key institutional partners. Your mission is to predictably renew and significantly grow our customer base by establishing yourself as a strategic thought partner for senior leadership and C-suite executives. You will be at the forefront of driving massive account expansion while ensuring high retention rates and delivering exceptional value to our partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic account management: Manage a portfolio of approximately 25-40 accounts, focusing on expansion through strategic relationships

  • Retention and upsell: Collaborate closely with Strategic Leads and Project Managers to swiftly identify and resolve issues with accounts showing signs of churn. Proactively identify and capitalize on upsell opportunities to enhance partner satisfaction and engagement.

  • Senior-level relationship building: Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with VP-level and C-suite stakeholders, presenting as a credible and trusted advisor in enrollment strategy and institutional growth.

  • Expertise in enrollment strategy: Serve as an expert in enrollment strategy, leveraging deep product knowledge and industry insights to guide partners in optimizing their recruitment efforts.

  • Versatility in leadership: Step in as an operational leader when needed, ensuring continuity and excellence in account management and partner success.

  • Prospecting and sales acumen: Demonstrated ability in continuous prospecting, pipeline development, and consultative selling. Strong skills in identifying potential opportunities, nurturing relationships, and closing deals.

  • Analytical and experimental mindset: A data-driven approach to evaluating performance and testing new strategies. Comfortable with analyzing metrics and iterating on methods to improve outcomes.

  • Product mastery and presentation skills: In-depth understanding of our products, with the ability to conduct engaging and insightful demos that align with partner needs and showcase our value proposition.

  • Adaptability and high standards: Thrive in a dynamic environment, adjusting quickly to changing priorities. Maintain high standards for personal and team performance, always striving for excellence.

  • Strong communication and integrity: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong emphasis on clarity and structure. Uphold ethical standards and foster trust through honesty and transparency in all interactions.
