Persona Development & Sales Enablement Marketing Intern – Summer 2025 (Boston, MA)

CoStar Risk Analytics (https://www.costarriskanalytics.com) is seeking a Marketing intern to join our Boston-based team for summer 2025.

OVERVIEW
The mission of the Marketing Intern is to support the development of customer personas, analyze product usage, and refresh and create new sales enablement materials. This role will focus on gathering insights from customer sales team, senior leaders and product analytics to refresh customer personas, identify opportunities to enhance product adoption, and produce high-quality sales tools.

To succeed in this role, the intern will need an entrepreneurial, data-driven mindset and strong communication skills, particularly when working with internal teams and understanding customer behavior. This is a hands-on learning experience designed to teach you how a deep understanding of customer needs and effective product positioning are critical to business success. Your role will be equally focused on learning and executing real-world marketing tasks.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Must be a current college junior (rising senior at the time of internship) with an anticipated graduation date of Fall 2025 – Spring 2026
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to engage with multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong research and data analysis skills
  • Interest in customer insights, product marketing, and sales enablement
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • The successful candidate will be highly motivated, result-oriented, a self-starter, and experienced in initiating and driving projects
     

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • B2B Marketing experience or similar position
  • Familiarity with customer persona development, product usage analytics, or SaaS products
  • An understanding of sales enablement strategies and content creation
  • Experience with customer journey mapping and onboarding workflows is a plus

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Persona Development: Design and distribute customer surveys to gather insights on client challenges, decision-making criteria, and product use cases. Analyze survey data to develop/refresh 3-5 detailed customer personas
  • Product Usage Analysis: Work with the product and sales teams to analyze product usage data, identifying common workflows and underutilized features. Conduct client interviews to understand how customers engage with the product
  • Sales Enablement Collaterals: Develop diverse collaterals to support the sales team’s efforts. I.e. Customer Success Stories (Lender or feature-Specific), Feature Utilization and Benefits Sheets
  • Collaboration: Collaborate weekly with another marketing intern, integrating competitive insights and market trends into personas and sales materials
