Position Summary for the Operations Manager at Altek
Reporting to the CEO, the Operations Manager oversees manufacturing operations and the production management and supervisory teams for Altek, by incorporating organization-wide operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs into manufacturing processes. This role monitors production metrics and responds to and resolves problems, and recommends process improvements, new technologies, and methods to maximize operational efficiency and collaborates with leaders to manage and resolve workforce or labor issues and develop long-term solutions. They also implement long-term plans for facilities, equipment, materials, technology, and workforce resources to maintain manufacturing capacity and processes that support business goals.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages the manufacturing and production teams through subordinate managers, supervisor and /or leads , while maintaining strong presences on the production floor. Is responsible for the overall strategic direction, coordination, and evaluation of these departments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have a familiarity with a production system
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Business or equivalent is required
Five to ten years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Working conditions are normal for manufacturing and office environments. Work involves lifting materials and product up to 30 pounds.
