Description:


The National Business Development Manager is a true hunter responsible for driving outside sales growth by identifying and closing new accounts that significantly contribute to the growth of Elwood Staffing. The NBDM will be assigned to a specific industry vertical (Energy, Distribution & Logistics, Manufacturing, Contact Center) and will be charged with hunting new opportunities in that vertical. This position requires daily prospecting and routine face-to-face interaction with prospects, and close coordination with Elwood's leadership. The NBDM will sell large scale light industrial, Master Vendor and Professional solutions.


What you will get to do as a National Business Development Manager:


In this role, you will prospect new leads and sell our staffing services to new and existing clients. We promote our services to all types of clients in many different industries, such as Manufacturing & Production, Warehouse & Distribution, as well as Automotive Manufacturers. Sales experience working with these industries is a big plus. The successful candidate will have outside sales experience, be self-motivated, driven, and strive to exceed goals and expectations



  • Identify leads, qualify prospective business, create proposals, present to clients, and create new sustainable business partnerships.

  • Build a strong pipeline of new/unexplored prospects in targeted industry.

  • Drive strategic customer dialogues to identify business objectives, staffing requirements, and challenges.

  • Present customized solutions that demonstrate a clear understanding of the prospective client's business needs.

  • Actively drive negotiations, close, and onboard new accounts.

  • Consistently engage with local and regional Elwood leadership on sales pipeline and strategy.

  • Prepare and present activity and revenue performance reporting for senior management.


Experience and skills for a National Business Development Manager:



  • Regional or multi-location outside sales, new account business development, or consulting experience preferred.

  • Experience and contacts within the assigned vertical

  • Demonstrated success selling large accounts

  • Proven ability to create substantial growth within a region or vertical

  • Ability to work cross-functionally to proactively communicate and to resolve issues with the highest sense of urgency.

  • Unwavering commitment to internal collaboration and communication with all Elwood stakeholders

  • Ability to travel as required.

  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • A valid driver's license is required for this role to travel between branch and prospect/client locations.
