We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager, New Market Platforms to join a Professional Services Not-For-Profit organization. This position is will support the Industry Events business and connect industry professionals with knowledge and technology solutions to drive business transformation and build community around key technologies. We accomplish this via in-person and virtual events, webinars, newsletters, and more.
The Marketing Manager, New Market Platforms is an agile, multifaceted marketing professional with a creative eye, a strategic approach, and a digitally-focused mindset who can generate revenue growth. This role is charged with driving demand for a portfolio of solutions focused on critical topics for industry and building a year-round engagement platform, including tentpole events (whether virtual, in-person or hybrid), webinars, newsletters, related products, and new revenue opportunities.
We are looking for a true marketing leader – someone adept at both planning and execution with the business acumen and initiative to create and build in a “start up” kind of environment. This role will drive the marketing for a portfolio of solutions and must be able to make proactive decisions to achieve the business plan. The candidate is a driven marketer who understands today’s audiences, and is able to leverage modern marketing tactics and technologies to convey compelling, engaging messages, analyze and optimize performance, and drive revenue and growth.

What you’ll do:
- Develop and execute demand generation programs focused on audience and sponsor acquisition, engagement, retention, and loyalty across multiple products, content distribution channels, and platforms to achieve performance goals.
- Lead, manage, and optimize omni-channel marketing initiatives to effectively reach and engage new and existing audiences
- Grow and retain the marketing database in compliance with GDPR and other privacy regulations.
- Craft product brand identity, positioning, and messaging that differentiates our initiatives, content, and events in the market.
- Leverage marketing technology (HubSpot, Marketing Cloud, etc.) to execute programs and inform a data-driven approach in all that we do.
- Develop a deep understanding of sponsor business objectives and act as an internal advocate for innovative solutions and marketing campaigns that will engage and retain sponsors.
- Achieve established marketing KPIs based on business goals and assess program metrics at the campaign, tactic, and channel levels to optimize performance and inform future marketing plans.
- Develop and communicate executive-facing reporting and performance tracking.
- Lead cross-functional marketing operations teams in the development of required materials based on the overall marketing schedule.
- Ensure that messaging, branding, and customer experience aligns across all touchpoints.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate and optimize marketing performance, identifying areas of opportunity for performance and process improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement of strategy and tactics.
- Manage marketing budget against targets, prioritizing resources in support of strategies, business priorities, and marketing goals.
- building and executing dynamic, omni-channel campaigns to acquire, engage, and retain audience and sponsors.
- Must be adept at full product lifecycle marketing and have proven experience building and executing end-to-end marketing programs in both B2C and B2B contexts -- from strategy and planning to execution and post-campaign analysis.
What you have:
- 10-15 years’ marketing experience with at least 5 years at the marketing manager level.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in applying modern marketing methods, metrics, and tools. This includes enterprise-level marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, SEO, webinar platforms, ESPs, content management systems, amplification tools, and mobile apps.
- Proven experience as the lead marketer in a B2B environment, preferably in a product-led business where there was continual innovation. Event marketing expertise and product launch experience a must. Additional experience in a media or marketing service environment a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing or relevant field. Data-driven mindset focused on accountability to KPIs and pipeline metrics [bring performance data].
- Proven executive presence, communication skills and experience in conversing/building relationships with high level executives internally and externally on a regular basis.
- Ability to understand products and target markets, develop consumer insights, and translate them into detailed and concrete marketing programs.
- Strong team leadership skills, including ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Experience building and managing budgets, including reviewing monthly financials and forecasting.
- Ability to stay organized, meet deadlines, balance priorities, and work well under pressure in a multi-project environment (agency experience a plus).
- An ego-free attitude towards the work and the team: no job is too big or too small.
- Proactive personality: you want to get it done, hit the ground running, and deliver impactful marketing experiences.
