Summary

This role is responsible for selling and marketing the logistics services of the JM Shipping Solution.  This position will drive incremental top line growth, develop strong partnerships, and work to identify process and product efficiencies in order to ensure the long-term profitability of the JM Shipping Solution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Accountable for driving top line business results to achieve and exceed Key Performance Indicators (new business conversion rate, retention, profitability) for the JM Shipping Solution product.

  • Assist executive leadership with the development of annual department business plans, budgets, and pro-forma financial projections.

  • Provide thought leadership and critical thinking across business units and external partner and vendors.

  • Maintain close contact with products, marketing, underwriting, agencies, jewelers and sales to define target market segments, market requirements, key business strategies and the competitive environment for the product.

  • Maintain knowledge of current market trends, competitor products and pricing, and JM product revisions to recommend product changes to hit objectives.

  • Keep management apprised of business development, account activity and product performance results.

  • Take ownership of assigned work and establishes and executes account specific plans.

  • Develop and conduct sales proposals and presentations.

  • Visit accounts to onboard new clients and work with key decision makers, influencers and executives on a regular basis to maintain strong relationships and identify necessary account changes and opportunities as quickly as possible.

  • Coordinate with Marketing to develop marketing programs and promotional activities to achieve sales objectives.

  • Serve as the product expert supporting corporate actions and operational initiatives.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert in the development of new business models, such as Platform.

  • Attend trade shows and visit key jeweler accounts

  • Responsible for management of sales team members and creating a strategy and an environment of learning, growth and development

  • Create a culture of engagement philosophy that results in a positive customer experience

Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree is required

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of sales experience, including experience in Logistics; n equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered

  • Minimum of 3 years of people leadership experience

  • Salesforce experience preferred


Computer Skills


Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft suite of applications including but not limited to Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Visio. Ability to use/learn the Company’s policy and claims admin computer systems.


Physical Requirements


  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls; and talk or hear.
