Job Description:


Capgemini America, Inc. has
multiple openings for the position of Lead Infrastructure Consultant based out
of its Chicago, IL U.S. headquarters. The employee may also work at various
unanticipated locations. S/he will perform the following duties\: design and
implement Simple and Ad-hoc project work requests; provide on-call cover and
out of hours support; monitor servers, address any issues raised and ensure
that contracted services are met; develop and implement service improvements;
coordinate activities related to the infrastructure (network,
telecommunications, basic software, hardware, servers) and database, involving
the definition, development and maintenance of procedures, as well as
overseeing the study and implementation of new processes and techniques for the
area; perform application support and maintenance for Portfolio Accounting Data
Repository; maintain production environment for critical regulatory reporting
issues and provide quick resolution; execute root cause analysis and fix
recurring issues for an error-free production environment; and perform trend
analysis to fix bugs and enhance current functionality.




Basic Qualifications:


This position requires a bachelor’s
degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Applications,
Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration,
Engineering (any), or closely related field plus at least 3 years of experience
in the job offered, as Software Engineer, Programmer, Application Developer,
Systems Analyst, or related IT position. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, the
employer deems that the suitable combination of education, training or experience
acceptable is 3 years of study towards U.S. bachelor's degree in Computer
Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Business Administration, Engineering (any), or closely related field plus 3
years of IT experience. The applicant must also have\: any period of experience
developing and delivering solutions to support infrastructure systems; any
period of experience coordinating activities related to database, involving the
definition, development and maintenance of procedures; any period of experience
executing OS  support, including fault
diagnosis and fix; any period of experience with application support and
maintenance for Portfolio Accounting data repository; any period of experience
performing root cause analysis by debugging, modifying, developing and
maintaining production and test environments; any period of experience
conducting trend analysis to fix bugs and enhance current functionality.
