The Opportunity:

LVT People is
looking for
a
Data Analyst with expertise in Power BI for our enterprise and government clients.


As a Data Analyst, you will be required to work within the operational Data and Analytics team, which involves members of a multi-disciplinary team. You will play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights and reports using Power BI. You will collaborate with various teams to provide data-driven solutions and support decision-making process.


Responsibilities:

  • Data Extraction and Transformation: Extract and transform data from various sources, such as databases, spreadsheets and APIs. Clean and pre-process data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Power BI development: Design and develop interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using Power BI. Create data models and implement data relationships within Power BI.
  • Data Visualization: Develop compelling data visualizations and interactive charts to communicate insights effectively. Customize reports and dashboards to meet business requirements.
  • Data Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis to identify trends, patterns and anomalies. Collaborate with the stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
  • Reporting and Automation: Generate and distribute regular reports and automated dashboards to relevant teams. Implement scheduled data refreshes and updates within Power BI.
  • Data Governance: Ensure data accuracy, quality and security in Power BI reports. Define and enforce data governance best practices.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers and decision-makers to understand data requirements and deliver insights.
  • Training and support: Provide training and support to end-users in navigating and interpreting Power BI reports. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to Power BI reports.
  • Continuous learning: Stay updated with the latest features, updates and best practices in Power BI. Explore opportunities to enhance and optimise existing reports and dashboards.



Requirements


Selection Criteria

Essential
  • Proven experience of 3 years as a Data Analyst with a strong focus on Power BI
  • Proficiency in data modeling and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) within Power BI
  • Proficiency in designing and developing visually appealing dashboards and reports using Power BI
  • Solid understanding of data visualization principles and best practices
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation
  • Experience working with Jira, Confluence within a SCRUM or SAFE agile team
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights
  • Excellent communication skills to convey findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related field

Desirable
  • Prior experience with
    data modelling and data warehousing 

  • Familiarity with data
    manipulation using tools like Excel or Python 

  • Familiarity with SQL for data extraction and manipulation
  • Experience working in a government agency, consulting firm or with large enterprise clients
