We are seeking an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager with 5 plus years experience who has a passion for enriching the employee experience. The HR Manager will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, and will help with important functions such as onboarding, staffing, training and development, and benefits administration.
Onboarding & Offboarding: Coordinate processes to orient new hires to the company. Set up new hires in the HR systems.
Hiring: Facilitate a full cycle of recruiting starting from the basic screening of a candidate to the in-person/live online interviews. Help develop job descriptions. Post approved job requisitions within applicant tracking system, guide managers on the hiring workflow and ensure hiring managers comply with applicable employment laws.
Administrative Functions: Support various tactical HR functions including streamlining communications, process improvements for various ad-hoc HR programs, pulling reports for client requests, etc. Provide various support and answer questions related to policies and procedures, leaves of absence, and various other HR-related questions.
Compliance: Keep up-to-date on employment laws and ensure the company is in compliance with the laws.
Employee Relations: Advise management on resolving employee relations issues.
Advise and coach managers on people management related best practices.
Process and manage HR documentation including onboarding documents, employee agreements, employment verifications, etc.
Drive and support various people procedures and programs including performance management, goal setting, employee development and engagement.
Recognition Programs: Help administer, support and promote recognition programs.
Serve as a resource/point of contact for benefits and HR related questions from employees.
Suggest new procedures and policies for improving employee experience as well as the efficiency of HR department and the company.
Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of the employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart. Contribute to policy development
Generate company documents and memos including commercial team credentialing letters.
Help design and develop programs that enable high levels of employee engagement
Employee Pulse Survey: Administer twice yearly survey. Help analyze results and develop action plan in response to employee feedback/suggestions.
Assist in planning company events, including team building activities.
7+ years HR generalist experience including knowledge of recruiting/talent management processes.
Experience working with commercial teams required.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources, business, or related field.
SHRM-CP a plus.
Life sciences/medical device industry experience a plus.
Confident in handling complex employee relations issues and experienced in conducting investigations.
Excellent communication, ethics, and cultural awareness.
Approachable interpersonal style who takes an objective approach to solving business issues.
Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies.
Advanced knowledge of HRIS and ability to learn new technical systems, when necessary.
Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail. Able to work independently.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Knowledge of national and state laws and regulations related to employment.

Travel: Up to 40% travel for various company/department meetings across the U.S. annually is required.
