JBC Technology Service is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.


Key Responsibilities & Duties:



  • Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time.

  • Maintain and update payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.

  • Verify payroll data and correct any errors to ensure accuracy.

  • Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and resolve discrepancies.

  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

  • Assist with the preparation and filing of payroll tax returns.

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information.

  • Coordinate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee records.

  • Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and distribution.


Requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

  • Proven experience as a payroll clerk or in a similar role.

  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and MS Office, especially Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
