El Paso County is in search of a dynamic and seasoned Human Resource Business Partner. Reporting directly to the Employee Relations Supervisor as our People Whisperer and Culture Champion (HRBP), you'll be the heartbeat of our organization, driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement, foster collaboration, and nurture a culture of innovation. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to our leaders, helping them navigate the complexities of people management by resolving employee relations matters with empathy, fairness, and professionalism while staying true to our core values. The ideal HRBP candidate will demonstrate employee relations expertise, excellent judgment, and highly developed analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills. This position will recommend strategies for employee relations and support the team in handling workplace concerns. This role will work to identify opportunities to proactively and preventatively address common employee relations issues and will provide guidance and coaching to leadership of all levels to address employee behavior and performance areas. The Human Resource Business Partner will stay attuned to organizational and operational changes across the County to identify potential employee relations risks and develop plans to address them proactively. Hiring Range: $78,760.00 - $94,890.00 annually

This position has an anticipated work schedule of Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, subject to change. Under FLSA guidelines, this position is exempt.

The Human Resource Business Partner position will serve to help foster positive relationships between the County and its employees. The position will accomplish this by:
- Serving as a strategic partner and resource to the County’s departments and offices.
- Partnering with leadership to align Human Resource (HR) operations with business objectives.
- Championing of HR strategies such as employee development, mentoring, and coaching.
- Providing interpretation and guidance regarding HR functional areas, including benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, organizational development, and risk management.
- By leveraging your expertise in HR policies, employment laws, and investigative techniques, you will gather evidence, interview relevant parties, and analyze information to reach fair and objective analysis. Your recommendations and actions will contribute to promoting a culture of trust, accountability, and compliance within the organization.
