Position Summary ​

The Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) consults with leadership in retail, manufacturing, guest services or distribution centers and will provide HR guidance when appropriate. Will serve as a change agent delivering a consultancy style approach to management and act as the intermediate for all HR related matters.

Position Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Partner with business units providing consultation on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations issues
  • Assure the HR strategy is implemented and supported throughout the business units
  • Consult, partner, and coach business units to identify and mitigate potential risk
  • Attend regular meetings with the respective business units
  • Partner with business units to attract, hire, and retain talent
  • Partner to business units and Team Member providing guidance on policy interpretation
  • Advise business units in conflict resolution methods
  • Partner with managers to coach associates on performance expectations, attendance, and business unit goals
  • Monitor and enforce compliance requirements
  • Foster company culture to ensure a great working environment
  • Partner with business units to drive employee recognition and assist in organizational training and career development and growth
  • Partner with management and Team Members to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase retention
  • Provide team member support on all HR related matters including policies, LOA, payroll, and onboarding
  • Provide guidance in workforce and succession planning
  • Partner with business units in managing change in relation to HR policies or processes
  • Remains current on trends and innovative HR strategy techniques in order to compete in market and within industry
  • Able to travel up to 25%

Qualifications

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) or equivalent from four-year college in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, or related field preferred.  5+ years of experience in Human Resources Partner or Generalist role.   Strong HR functional expertise; working knowledge on employment law matters, employment legislation, and compliance management.  Prior experience in big box multi-unit retail environment is a plus.  Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.  HRIS experience is required.  Working knowledge in Workday is a plus.

Certificates and Licenses: Not Required.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.

Position Hiring Range

The hiring pay range provides a guide for what we would reasonably pay for the position.  Pay will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to: applicant’s education, relevant work experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data. Living Spaces reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Pay is determined by various factors including market demand, applicable skills, work experience and education, location, company budget, and in-demand skill sets.

Compensation: $84,300.00 - $112,400.00

Retail, Guest Services, and Distribution Center Team Members are eligible to receive team bonus based on meeting specific goals and KPI’s.
