General Summary


The Financial Analyst will be responsible for tracking the company's financial performance against plan, analyzing business performance and market conditions to create forecasts, and helping senior management make tactical and strategic decisions by providing periodic reports.


 


Essential Job Functions



  • Support the annual budgeting process by channel/cost center for the full P&L.

  • Prepare monthly forecasts for sales, gross profit and overhead expenses. Engage functional partners to update their forecasts in the system and present financial reports and presentations to management on established cadence.

  • Serve as a Finance resource to business in managing expenses. Liaise with business partners on regular basis to gather information and provide reporting and information as needed to facilitate informed financial decision-making by business and achievement of budget/forecast targets.

  • Analyze existing processes and identify process improvement opportunities and provide support as new processes are coordinated and put in place within and across divisions.

  • Work with Accounting on preparing, reviewing, interpretating and distributing monthly financial reports to cost center department heads.

  • Develop and maintain key performance financial and operational metrics.

  • Performs analysis that aids in the decision-making process and increased profitability and cash flow.

  • Participate & oversight of monthly close process (reclasses, accruals, etc.), ensuring proper entries are recorded by accounting team that appropriately reflect business activities.

  • Assists in the strategic and business planning process from a financial perspective.

  • Perform ad hoc analyses, prepare various reports and presentations.


 


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Knowledge and solid understanding of financial accounting concepts.

  • Knowledge and strong experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Skill in completing multiple tasks at once.

  • Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers, customers, and vendors, contributing to a successful cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work independently and meet managerial goals.

  • Ability to organize daily activities of self and work as a team player.


 


Required Education and Experience



  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Finance and Accounting

  • 2-4 Years experience in accounting and/or financial analysis

  • 1 Year relevant industry experience in consumer products wholesale or retail

  • MBA and/or CPA preferred

  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, and SQL is a plus!


Salary range for this role is $75-$90k annually, based on experiance.

Seeing: Must be able to see well enough to read reports.



Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with customers, vendors and employees.



Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: Must be able to stoop or kneel to pick up products.



Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.



Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to type and use technical sources.
