As a Customer Service Representative for Spee-Dee Delivery, you are responsible for receiving, investigating, and responding to all customer inquiries regarding shipments, service and concerns.
Hours and Wages:
- Monday-Friday, 9:00AM-6:00PM
- Starting wage: $16.00-$18.00 per hour, based on experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Confers with customers via telephone or email in order to trace packages, arrange deliveries or to obtain details of complaints or compliments
- Contacts customers to respond to inquiries or to notify them of claim investigation results and any planned adjustments
- Acts as a liaison between customers and drivers to resolve delivery issues
- Communicates with the claims department and branch managers to resolve discrepancies
- Retrieves manifests and other shipper information to aid the process of tracing shipments
- Documents and records mis-deliveries, follow-ups, and alternate delivery addresses
- Obtains customer feedback information
- Performs other duties as assigned
Experience and Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Customer service, administrative, or clerical experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Work requires excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Work requires basic computer knowledge
- Professional telephone etiquette and good listening skills
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and telephone
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
