Description

PromptCare is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients in the high-tech respiratory industry, specifically in the area of resupply. The High-Tech CSR processes inbound orders from our referral sources and requests for assistance from our patients through a variety of mediums, including inbound and outbound client calls, faxes, e-mails, and online ordering portals. The successful candidate must be proficient in all phases of insurance data collection, verification, and authorization. Job Type: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, flexible 8-hour shifts Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:30pm

Job Location: Hybrid in King of Prussia, PA



Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or some college preferred
  • Work experience in a Respiratory Home Durable Medical Equipment company is strongly preferred
  • Must have good PC skills, especially with MS Office suite


Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:

  • Accurately and efficiently process Durable Medical Equipment (DME) sales orders for our tracheostomy and ventilator dependent patients
  • Verify insurance and update patient files - which includes demographics, insurance, and benefit information
  • Manage patient prescriptions, requesting prior authorization, if necessary to fill the order
  • Responsible for communicating with patients and providers via telephone, email, and web portals
  • Develop working knowledge of Brightree, MedForce, Microsoft Office, MS Teams, McKesson VerbalCare, and other applications
  • Documentation and computer input of the new referral and subsequent patient admission from start to finish is critical and must always follow PromptCare’s policies and procedures
  • Other duties assigned


Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. The ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies of 20 pounds but no more than 35 pounds.
