A Controller plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of an organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting.

Duties

    • Oversee the Finance department, providing supervision, and guidance to staff. Evaluate performance, conduct performance reviews, and recommend salary adjustments based on performance.
    • Prepare and manage all accounting and financial records, ensuring accurate reporting to the CEO and Board of Directors regarding the company’s financial performance.
    • Prepare monthly financial statements through reconciliation, internal controls maintenance, and analysis of company financial status.
    • Ensure the company’s financial accounting system integrates effectively with subscription data and maintains necessary security and privacy safeguards.
    • Collaborate in the development and upgrade of software to ensure compliance with accounting requirements.
    • Serve as the corporate contact for non-benefit related insurance providers and programs.
    • Prepares and submits various Government Reports, tax returns and corporation filings.
    • Supervises the processing of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable invoices. Prepares special contract invoices and performs collection activities.
    • Coordinates with outside Certified Public Accounting Firm on financial audit, process audit, preparation of annual tax returns and other required filings.
    • Have the ability to use different types of software.
    • GL functions.
    • The ability to use tax software.

Requirements

    • 5+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
    • Must be U.S Citizen, due to working with government entities.
    • Must have a Bachelors Degree.
    • Must have experience with ASC 606.
    • Must have experience with SaaS software.
    • Public Accounting experience.
    • Experience with ERP is a plus.
    • CPA is plus.
$125,000 - $135,000 a year
