A Controller plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of an organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting.
Duties
- Oversee the Finance department, providing supervision, and guidance to staff. Evaluate performance, conduct performance reviews, and recommend salary adjustments based on performance.
- Prepare and manage all accounting and financial records, ensuring accurate reporting to the CEO and Board of Directors regarding the companyβs financial performance.
- Prepare monthly financial statements through reconciliation, internal controls maintenance, and analysis of company financial status.
- Ensure the companyβs financial accounting system integrates effectively with subscription data and maintains necessary security and privacy safeguards.
- Collaborate in the development and upgrade of software to ensure compliance with accounting requirements.
- Serve as the corporate contact for non-benefit related insurance providers and programs.
- Prepares and submits various Government Reports, tax returns and corporation filings.
- Supervises the processing of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable invoices. Prepares special contract invoices and performs collection activities.
- Coordinates with outside Certified Public Accounting Firm on financial audit, process audit, preparation of annual tax returns and other required filings.
- Have the ability to use different types of software.
- GL functions.
- The ability to use tax software.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
- Must be U.S Citizen, due to working with government entities.
- Must have a Bachelors Degree.
- Must have experience with ASC 606.
- Must have experience with SaaS software.
- Public Accounting experience.
- Experience with ERP is a plus.
- CPA is plus.
$125,000 - $135,000 a year
