Summary:
Supports the design, development and implementation of field sales enablement strategies and integrated content in support of planning, products, and key enterprise priorities, ensuring consistent, effective messaging that is in alignment with the Northwestern Mutual brand. This extends to new product and market launches, targeted field engagement, field promotional events, planning and product sales tools and materials.
Develop clear, accurate and persuasive content, collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver high impact programs and; leverage current methods and propose new channels (e.g., live events, print, digital, mobile and tablet) for impactful delivery and engagement; support the design and implementation of large, integrated sales initiatives that deliver results through sales team engagement and agency-level adoption; design key messages and positioning strategies that resonate with sales teams and field audiences and drive measurable behavior change.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
1) Development and Implementation of field-facing content and adoption messages/materials.
Develop clear, accurate and persuasive content in order to ensure field-facing materials present the desired messages. Leverage consistent channels and proven methods that have impact with target audiences.
Collaborate with key stakeholders Distribution Performance Teams, Financial Planning and Sales Support, product line leadership ,PX, Β in order to deliver high impact programs and to ensure alignment.
Leverage current and propose innovate new channels (e.g., live events, print, digital, mobile and tablet) for impactful delivery and engagement. Evaluate and manage the methods used to deliver consistent messaging and ensure effective communications are aligned to the Northwestern Mutual brand.
Manage the quality creation, delivery and on-going maintenance of effective field-facing resources that directly support key Career Distribution (CD) and enterprise initiatives.
2) Strategic Influence and subject matter expert regarding content deliverables and adoption tactics on all assigned projects.
Support the design and implementation of large, integrated projects. Areas of accountability will be assigned, but span across products, planning and CD.
Design and deliver new tools/materials for field use and ensure alignment to the Northwestern Mutual financial security promise.
Design key adoption messages and positioning strategies, (e.g. identify and design right resource and message for right target audience) that resonate with field audiences and drive measurable behavior change. Align messaging to Field personas, planning philosophy and relevant to client life stages as appropriate.
3) Additional Responsibilities.
Responsible for the budget on assigned areas of accountability (projects).
Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications:
B.S. /B.A. degree in business, sales or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years experience in designing and delivering content and adoption strategies, field sales enablement and engagement plans, and promoting products and/or services to distribution systems and/or end users.
Demonstrated ability and proven success in creating project strategies and subsequent delivery of tools and tactics to target audiences.
Proven ability to leverage research insights and incorporate into strategies.
Demonstrated strategic agility through anticipation of future consequences and trends and use of broad knowledge and perspective to create competitive strategies and articulate credible pictures and visions of possibilities.
Demonstrated ability to identify marketing opportunities, develop creative solutions and implement initiatives with quality and within scope.
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Effective ability to identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders representing a broad range of functions and levels in order to advance the objectives of the organization.
Knowledgeable on how to best leverage multiple channels of communication and engagement with target audiences.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets to accomplish business objectives.
