Job Description

The Construction Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for assisting the Construction Manager(s) with multiple new retail construction projects, relocations, pop-ups, and remodels of existing stores. This position is responsible for the entirety of each project’s lifecycle and ensuring there is a seamless transition from construction into the new store opening phase. The assistant project manager will support the entire project team to meet Vuori’s quality standards and make sure each project is delivered on time and within budget. 

Qualifications

What you'll get to do:

  • Assist the project manager in developing and tracking project milestones to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery. 
  • Process administrative work: including change orders, process pay applications, organize documentation and review plans. 
  • Assist in the development of projects from inception through completion. 
  • Ensure timely delivery of weekly reports by the General Contractors. 
  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets and capital improvement projections. 
  • Represent Vuori to external partners and stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, etc. on various issues related to project development and delivery. 
  • Coordinate with outside vendors to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of FFE per established project schedules. 
  • Conduct periodic site visits to verify construction quality standards are met and to ensure timely turnover for the Retail Operations team. 
  • Monitor and review contractor’s work as it relates to budget, schedule, and Vuori’s standards. 
  • Manage deliverables and deadlines from Owner vendors. 
  • Maintain and monitor the progress of punch lists. 
  • Facilitate the timely completion of closeout package submission from the General Contractor and provide the required documents to the Finance and Operations teams. 
  • Coordinate all project closeout documentation including all warranty letters, final lien waiver collection, as-built drawings and any necessary documentation for tenant allowance requests. 

Who you are:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field such as Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or Business Management. 
  • 5+ years of related experience and a demonstrated knowledge and understanding of construction documentation and sequencing. 
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with tight and shifting timelines.  
  • Detail-oriented and organized.  
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Independent, self-motivated, team player.  
  • Able to effectively communicate with all levels of staff, management and outside vendors.  
  • Ability to work with autonomy in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

The salary range for this role is $75,000 per year - $85,000 per year.
