Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for annual sales & gross margin budget in builder products of export sales in the Caribbean
  • Establish direct relationships with overseas clients – developers, builders, GC’s, subcontractors, dealers, etc.
  • Establish relationships with mainly S.Florida-based local designers and architects that specify international projects for both US & Foreign clients
  • Influence the specification at early stage of design as a value-add to the customer and best position Ferguson to win the business.
  • Product focus will be mainly on plumbing, appliances and lighting
  • Conceptualize, prepare, build, and drive all aspects of the proposal process from inception to closing
  • Handle all aspects of a project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and on contract value
  • Prepare regular reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team
  • Identify and help to resolve operational and logistics problems and minimize delays

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of export sales to builders required
  • Experience in working with designers and developers in product selection preferred
  • Knowledge of construction project cycle and design influence and expertise preferred
  • Ability to interpret project schedules and project plans
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Self-motivator and ability to multi-task
  • Planning and execution skills
  • Ability to manage competing demands
  • Ability to make timely decisions, exhibit good judgment
  • Ability to travel internationally independently on a regular (monthly) basis and sometimes on short notice is a requisite
  • Negotiation skills
  • Analytical skills

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
