Business Development Manager Role

The Business Development Manager (Healthcare Recruitment) is a mid-senior level management position, with a high level of responsibility to grow and develop our revenue and brand position within the Healthcare sector.

You will have come from a healthcare recruitment business and have experience with government framework agreements, preferably in the supply of Nursing and Allied Health Care staff.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • To develop and grow our client base through access to additional local and nationwide trusts under the Workforce Alliance and Health Trust Europe frameworks
  • To identify new business opportunities
  • To scale private healthcare organisations access and develop the private revenue stream
  • To drive the diversification into additional healthcare specialties
  • To understand our current capability in comparison to the needs of our clients
  • To identify the gaps in our portfolio and pipeline of candidates in comparison to current demand in all departments
  • Creating development plans, forecasting sales targets and growth projections
  • Liaising with colleagues to develop sales and marketing strategies
  • Attending events such as exhibitions and conferences
  • Attending client visits
  • Preparing sales presentations
  • Producing reports for management
  • To ensure a consistent approach in our Business Development actions
  • To keep up to date with the market trends and the needs of the clients
  • Identify the next spikes in demand and where to diversify
  • To work closely with the Recruitment team leader to support their day-to-day approach to key actions and responsibilities, providing guidance, coaching and mentoring when required
  • To work closely with the resourcing and compliance teams to understand and support demand and capability
  • To be responsible for consistent and sustainable supply of candidates and ability for scaling up

Experience & qualities required.

Proven healthcare recruitment sales experience with evidence of consistent success is essential

5+ years business development experience within Healthcare recruitment is essential

A drive to seek out new business

A high level of commercial acumen in line with the sector of the business

Experience working with NHS Framework agreements is essential
