We are currently seeking a highly dedicated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our Gteck sales team in Ontario. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and upholding our commitment to ensuring the safety and security of our team members and guests alike. Reporting to the Executive Vice President, you will have “New Client Prospecting” experience and will be a trusted advisor with customers, transform possibilities into probabilities, channel & new market development, have superior communication skills, creativity & innovation, and integrity. A passion for sales is considered important for the success of this role and the ability to see the bigger picture and organize a complete total Integrated Security Solutions package will be an asset.
Portfolio Focus:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with company goals and vision
- Develop and implement strategies to expand the client base and increase revenue
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and potential clients.
- Represent Kandor’s business interests with meaningful attendance at industry events.
- Manage the preparation and delivery of service quotes, responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs in a timely manner.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholder events to network
- Maintain high level client relationships
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prospecting
- Hunting for New Business Opportunities
- Engaging in market research to identify key opportunities aligned with Company goals
- Introducing Kandor’s service offerings to qualified decision makers
- Analyzing competitor operations and relationships for leads that produce opportunities
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities to expand relationships
- Record and forecast all business development opportunities in the designated CRM
Preparing Quotes and RFP/RFQ/RFI Responses
- Effectively monitor bid platforms and search for opportunities to provide proposals
- Organize and take lead on mandatory meetings and site visits as part of tenders
- Prepare and deliver complete proposals in a timely manner
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide accurate and well-designed responses
- Continuously update and innovate new sales material for future use in proposal
Client Engagement
- Schedule and participate in meaningful interactions with clients and potential clients in 1on1 and group settings
- Coordinate and participate in networking evets with specific objectives in mind
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as marketing to refresh our engagement strategies.
Ad Hoc Responsibilities
- Prepare annual budgets and reforecasts to ensure adequate funds are allocated
- Prepare accurate commission and expense reports and deliver them in a timely manner
- Archive all proposals in a manner that allows for easy search and access for others
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven experience with business development and relationship management;
- In-depth understanding of entire MS Office suite;
- Undergraduate degree in a business discipline or a combination of education and experience;
- Ability to organize daily workload in priority sequence;
- Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong market knowledge;
- Expert negotiation skills;
- Ability to build rapport;
- Ability to work independently and as a team player;
- Strong ability to build trust-based relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Proven ability to influence people and project a professional, positive presence
