This hybrid role offers a great balance of home and office working. You must be willing to travel to partners within your geographical location and attend our London office when required.

Joining us as a Business Development Manager

As an experienced Business Development Manager will lead CityFibre’s business development activities in the public sector driving our strategic growth plan. You will be a hunter, who can identify and develop new large-scale prospects, qualify and develop opportunities. You will represent CityFibre in key areas of the market, as a senior customer facing member of staff with outstanding professionalism and integrity and a dynamic closing-focussed approach to winning contracts.

This is some of what you can expect to be doing:

  • Own an allocated ICV and ARR sales target.
  • Develop a pipeline of large-scale strategic business development opportunities, acting as a market sector expert to support development of CityFibre strategy.
  • Manage key strategic accounts that provide large scale national opportunity for CityFibre, developing account plan, pipelines and securing further trading growth.

What you’ll bring to the role

This role demands agility, collaboration, and the ability to lead discussions, ensuring data is effectively shared and utilised across the business.

  • Proven experience as a seasoned senior sales professional developing business in the local government market, with a demonstrable track record of target achievement and closed deal >£5m+ contracts
  • Strong strategic mind-set, with an ability to identify new opportunities or commercial approach that provide strategic advantage
  • Experienced in leading commercial opportunities in the public sector, with demonstratable ownership for customer relationship, proposal development, bid management, contract development and negotiation.
