Salary: $35.23 - $50.83 Per Hour
SUMMARY
Under the guidance of a Business Systems Analyst, the Assistant Business Systems Analyst (ASA) will document, review, and analyze business processes and practices to support and improve new and existing data tools, including the Comprehensive Health Accompaniment Management Platform (CHAMP). The ASA will collaborate with teams across the organization to translate business needs into requirements and represent key data to address the technology and business needs of DHS programs in rapidly changing environments. The ASA must be analytical and problem-solving oriented, comfortable with facilitating discussions with stakeholders at all levels, and capable of managing multiple timelines. Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees work both remotely and from the office, as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, coordinate, and document business meetings to gather requirements, collect feedback, and communicate system changes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of business requirements, processes, and changes; identify and document current business processes; recommend and develop policies and procedures to standardize and improve business processes.
- Learn data systems and tools to become a subject matter expert; review and evaluate existing technologies and data tools to identify gaps, opportunities, and additional needed functionality.
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences; participate in design sessions and system testing to ensure accurate implementation of software changes.
- Support software implementation and system testing; gather and update database information; collaborate with the training team to ensure understanding of data system changes.
- Work with the data team to streamline data collection processes; establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate business processes and data tools; extract and analyze data to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
- Investigate, resolve, and escalate problems, providing recommendations for resolution; prepare meeting agendas, schedule meetings, and distribute minutes.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Three or more years of highly complex administrative experience in the health, housing, social services, or related sectors.
Certificates/Licenses/Clearances
- A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
- Successful clearing through the Live Scan and the Health Clearance process with the County of Los Angeles.
Other Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Basic knowledge of coding, programming, or scripting languages (e.g., Visual Basic.NET, SQL, Python) for data extraction and process automation.
- Experience working on projects with unclear problems, opportunities, and solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to express technical concepts clearly.
- Experience developing technical requirements.
- Experience extracting and working with data from large client-centric relational databases.
- Ability to align technology solutions with business strategies within one or more business processes.
