We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. This role offers significant opportunities for professional growth and development as you will be involved in daily accounting operations, compliance management, and process improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage bank and credit card reconciliations, Balance Sheet account reconciliations and payroll entries.
  • Prepare fixed asset schedules, depreciation, and related journal entries.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and support month-end closing processes.
  • Conduct thorough research to resolve accounting discrepancies or issues, ensuring compliance with internal policies and GAAP.
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements for banks, lenders, and legal entities.
  • Prepare and submit documentation for loan covenants, banking agreements, and other regulatory requirements.
  • File state and local sales tax returns accurately and on time.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to streamline accounting processes through the use of technology and automation.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and reports.
  • Contribute to the implementation of new accounting systems and tools as the business grows.
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records, ensuring integrity and transparency in reporting.

Requirements

  • 2-3 Years of accounting experience required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A  solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and basic accounting functions.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.) and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Experience with compliance and regulatory reporting for financial institutions and legal entities is a plus.
  • Experience with filing state and local sales tax returns.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a desire to research and resolve accounting issues independently.
  • A tech-savvy mindset with a passion for leveraging technology to improve processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive and growth-oriented attitude with a desire to continuously learn and advance in the accounting field.

Salary Description

$60,000-$70,000
