JOB DESCRIPTION
QUALIFIED CANDIDATES MUST BE RESIDENTS OF VT, NH, MA, OR NY. 

The Account Manager works independently and or collaboratively to manage overall client service and administration throughout the issuance and renewal cycle. This position is a client facing role utilizing professional skills in Commercial Property and Casualty insurance to maintain and enhance client relationships while also insuring client profitability.

The Senior Account Manager applies their in-depth Commercial Property and Casualty Insurance knowledge and experience to manage a complex book of business. The Sr. Account Manager is performing at a higher level regarding customer service and retention. They play a critical role in aiding the department in achieving their goals and objectives. 

SENIOR AM ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Performs all usual service duties of a Commercial Lines Account Manager/CSR.
    • Deep Understanding of carrier appetites and market climate to ensure proper carrier placement
    • Ability to independently perform high level analysis of coverage needs and contracts
    • In addition to service duties the Sr. Account Manger seeks opportunities and engages in specific department initiatives.
    • Demonstrates emerging leadership skills within servicing function to include delegation, collaborating and mentoring 

SENIOR AM EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Active Property and Casualty license
    • Achieved or actively pursuing professional designations (CIC, CPSU, ACSR, AAI) 

SENIOR AM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of three-five years’ experience required for consideration.
    • Has achieved a consistent high level of competency of all Account Manger duties and responsibilities
    • Must possess exceptional independent judgement and decision-making skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Persuasive with strong networking and negotiation skills
    • Conflict resolution skills
    • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
    • Self-motivated and holds themselves to a high standard

ACCOUNT MANAGER ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Receive, document and process all insured’s requests for service, coordinating with insurance carriers or brokers as required.
    • Ensure policy accuracy
    • Oversee agency billing, including timely and accurate delivery of invoicesand coordinating payment through collaboration with producer partners
    • Manage certificate requests
    • Review and management of expiration list, driving follow through of the renewal cycle
    • Identify coverage recommendations for clients 
    • Coordinate communication with client contacts, producers & carriers
    • Complete research & analysis relative to account underwriting and service
    • Coordinate with producers on the underwriting of new and renewal business
    • Preparation of client proposals, new and renewal as required
    • Responsible for all documentation and maintenance of client records within our Agency Management System in a manner that reduces E&O risk
    • Manage work flow effectively to maintain current status on all activities and email
    • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, carriers & TRG team members
    • All other duties as assigned  

ACCOUNT MANAGER EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Active Property and Casualty license
    • Maintain CE and pursue appropriate additional education

ACCOUNT MANAGER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of three years’ experience required for consideration.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Attention to detail and follow-through; maintains a sense of urgency
    • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment  
    • Strong interpersonal skill and a desire to cultivate positive relationships and provide exceptional service
$45,000 - $85,000 a year
The salary range for this position will be determined by experience and skills.
